The stern warning comes amid escalating tensions, with Pakistan launching drone and missile attacks on Indian military installations and civilian areas over the past three nights. India’s robust air defence systems successfully intercepted most of these strikes, preventing major casualties.
High-Level Security Meeting Chaired by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened an urgent meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and top military officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and service chiefs, to assess the situation.
The meeting followed India’s precision strikes on key Pakistani military bases, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sukkur, in retaliation to Pakistan’s aggression.
Pakistan’s Escalation & India’s Strong Response
Pakistan’s latest provocations began after India’s Operation Sindoor on May 7, which targeted terror camps in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 Indian tourists last month.
Instead of de-escalating, Pakistan intensified hostilities, firing drones and missiles at Indian border areas, including Jammu & Kashmir’s Uri sector. Indian forces retaliated swiftly, striking deep inside Pakistani territory.
What Constitutes an “Act of War”?
Government sources clarified that any future terror attack—whether bombings, armed assaults, hijackings, or cyber/biological attacks—will be treated as a direct act of war. This includes attacks on:
-
Government buildings
-
Military installations
-
Civilian infrastructure
Pakistan Seeks De-Escalation After Heavy Losses
Despite its aggressive posturing, Pakistan has reportedly sought de-escalation following India’s strong retaliation. Sources indicate that Islamabad is pushing for DGMO-level talks, but New Delhi remains firm on its zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism.
Global Exposure of Pakistan’s Double Game
India has also intensified efforts to expose Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism on international platforms. Intelligence reports confirm that Pakistan’s military and ISI continue to shelter terror groups, providing them with training, funding, and logistical support.
