New Delhi, November 12 (Siddhanta Live):

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has officially termed the Delhi Red Fort blast as a “terrorist incident.” The government expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and directed investigative agencies to act with “utmost urgency and professionalism” to bring the perpetrators and their sponsors to justice.

The decision came after a high-level security meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence, attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other senior officials. The Cabinet also passed a formal resolution condemning the “cowardly and anti-national” act.

Blast Near Red Fort: What Happened

A massive explosion occurred near the Red Fort Metro Station around 6:52 PM on November 10, 2025, when a Hyundai i20 car went up in flames during the evening rush hour. The blast killed at least 13 people and injured more than 20 others, marking one of the most serious terror incidents in the capital in recent years.

Preliminary investigations suggest the car was loaded with ammonium nitrate-based explosives, similar to those seized in Faridabad just hours earlier. The explosion also damaged nearby vehicles and caused panic across the busy Red Fort–Chandni Chowk stretch.

Suspects Under Scanner: Terror Module with White-Collar Links

According to intelligence sources, the blast is connected to a “white-collar terror module” involving educated professionals, including doctors from Al-Falah University in Faridabad. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has now taken over the case.

Among those under arrest are:

  • Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, a medical professional from Kashmir, suspected of planning attacks since January.

  • Dr. Umar Nabi, alleged to be the driver and sole occupant of the car that exploded.

  • Dr. Shaheen Saeed, another doctor accused of links with the terror network “Jamaat-ul-Mominat,” reportedly associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) women’s wing.

Investigations revealed that Dr. Umar and Dr. Muzammil visited the Red Fort area in January for reconnaissance, indicating a premeditated attack.

Red EcoSport Found in Haryana, NIA Widens Probe

On November 12, the Faridabad Police discovered a red Ford EcoSport (DL 10 CK 0458) believed to be linked to the accused, abandoned near Khandawali village. The finding came two days after the blast and provided a crucial lead to investigators. So far, nine people have been detained across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana for questioning.

PM Modi Visits LNJP Hospital, Assures Justice

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital to meet the injured victims. “The nation stands with the families of those who lost their lives. The perpetrators will not be spared,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister also observed a two-minute silence during the Cabinet meeting and reiterated India’s “zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism in all its forms.”

The BJP accused the Congress of “playing vote-bank politics” after Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah questioned the timing of terror incidents during elections. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said, “Congress is back to giving soft support to anti-national elements for vote bank politics.”

Meanwhile, Goa, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh have ramped up checks at tourist spots, airports, and public spaces.
